More pics soon

I know, words aren't as cute or fun, but just an update to those we haven't had a chance to catch up with. Sierra went to her 2 month doctor visit. Everything is great! She's at 11 lbs now which puts her in the 50th percentile. She received 4 shots (2 at a time) and survived. The poor nurses had her laughing and smiling right before the shots so they felt awful giving her the shots because they knew the smiles weren't going to last.

Now that her umbilical cord finally fell out (about 2 weeks ago) we gave Sierra her first bath in her mini tub. Dad may have had the water a little too hot at first because she sure gave us a "Why did you do that look?" when we poured the water on her the first time. Because her skin seems to be a little sensitive and gets dry pretty quickly, the Doc recommended we put vasaline on her after her bath. Talk about a slippery baby! Try picking her up or putting her clothes back on, or anything when she's all lubed up. Good news is her skin is doing better, and another benefit is if we have to squeeze her through a small space, she'll slide right through.

We have a few nights where Sierra sleeps 8, 9, or even 10 hours now. Those are nice. They seem to come in waves then back to the 5 or 6 hours stretches. Steph has been a trooper getting up any night when the grunting (she's a loud sleeper some nights) turns to the "I'm hungry" sniffles. Steph has been amazing with her patience, her energy and her love towards Sierra.

Steph says Sierra loves to smile and laugh at people and seems to be a very happy baby. I know I'm already a sucker for her smile.

Happy and Healthy...

We are so incredibly lucky.

More pics soon.
