Girls Trip

This past week Sierra and I have been in New Mexico on a Girls Trip with my mom's side of the family. My mom, my sister, Sierra, and I made the 13 hour trek in my mom's car. I was pleasantly surprised at how well Sierra did in the car. We stopped every 2-3 hours to let her stretch her legs, but the rest of the time, she was pretty well entertained as you can see by the pic below.

While we were there, Sierra had her first fishing experience. Here is her best "cheese"face.

Standing at the edge of the pond looking at the fish we had caught.

Posing with her fishing hat and Barbie tackle box.

Sierra's Barbie fishing pole had a floating butterfly on the end of it. I would throw it out in the water for her and she would reel it in.....just like mommy.

Even though she seemed to like fishing, sometimes she was a little distracted by other things like ducks, people, etc.

We ended up catching 9 fish all together. Sierra even wanted to touch them! However, she did NOT like it when they would flip their fins or move around. Here is proof that I can clean my own fish. Don't be too impressed. I have only done it 2 or 3 times my entire life. :)

Sierra really enjoyed gathering duck feathers and then throwing them off the bridge into the stream. We may have done this for at LEAST 45 min. which is a long time for her.

She also liked feeding the ducks cheerios...........

and throwing rocks in the stream with DeeDee.
Her other new found love while we were away was dipping sauces. She discovered that she loves ketchup with her fries and ranch with her pizza.....I wonder where she gets THAT from?
One day, we went into Taos. Sierra fell asleep in the car with a pretend medicine dropper in her mouth. Do you think we had worn her out maybe?
All in all, we had a great time! Sierra REALLY loved it and I know we will have to go back again sometime. It was so much fun to spend time with family! I love you guys!

Looks like y'all have a very relaxing get away! OK...now about the fish. I am impressed, and grossed out, at the same time! (You can tell I don't do fish!) The pizza and the ranch dipping...like mother...like daughter! Very cute pics!
